Please read these terms before submitting any device, console, controller, or electronic equipment to CCRS Electronics for inspection, repair, or servicing.

Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting any device, console, controller, or electronic equipment to CCRS Electronics for inspection, repair, or servicing, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Quotations & Approval

  • All quotations are valid for 7 days.
  • No repairs will be carried out without customer approval.
  • Additional faults discovered during the repair process may require a revised quotation and further approval.
  • Diagnostic fees may apply if a repair is declined after inspection.

3. Repair Timeframes

  • Repair times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
  • Delays may occur due to parts availability, supplier delays, or unforeseen technical issues.
  • CCRS Electronics will keep customers informed of significant delays.

4. Data & Saved Information

  • Customers are responsible for backing up all data before submitting devices.
  • CCRS Electronics is not liable for any loss of saved games, user accounts, settings, downloads, or personal data during diagnostics or repairs.
  • Software repairs, updates, and system reinstalls may result in data loss.

5. Warranty

  • We offer a 3 to 6-month warranty on repairs and workmanship unless stated otherwise.
  • The warranty period begins on the date the repair is completed.
  • The warranty covers only the replaced components and repaired areas of the device.
  • Warranty claims require proof of repair or invoice.
  • Warranty repairs do not extend the original warranty period.

6. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty becomes void if:

  • The device has been opened, modified, or repaired by another party after our repair.
  • Physical damage occurs after collection.
  • Liquid damage occurs after collection.
  • Damage results from power surges, lightning strikes, load shedding-related electrical faults, misuse, neglect, or accidental damage.
  • The fault is unrelated to the original repair.
  • Tamper seals have been removed or damaged.

7. Unrepairable Devices

  • Some devices may be deemed beyond economical repair.
  • Devices that are unrepairable will be returned in their original condition where possible.
  • CCRS Electronics cannot guarantee the functionality of devices already suffering from severe motherboard, liquid, or physical damage. A R550 fee will be charged.

8. Customer-Supplied Parts

  • No warranty is provided on customer-supplied parts.
  • Warranty will apply only to workmanship where applicable.
  • CCRS Electronics is not responsible for defective or incompatible customer-supplied components.

9. Collection & Storage

  • Repaired devices should be collected within 30 days of notification.
  • Devices left uncollected for more than 90 days may incur storage fees.
  • Devices left uncollected for more than 180 days may be disposed of or sold to recover costs, subject to reasonable attempts being made to contact the customer.

10. Payments

  • Full payment is required before collection of repaired devices.
  • Ownership of any installed parts remains with CCRS Electronics until full payment is received.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • CCRS Electronics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or failure of any repaired device.
  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for the repair service.

12. Refurbished & Second-Hand Parts

  • Where agreed with the customer, refurbished, donor, or pre-owned components may be used.
  • Such parts will be disclosed where applicable and covered by the stated warranty period.

By submitting a device to CCRS Electronics, the customer confirms that they understand and accept these Terms & Conditions.
